DigiCert Secure Email combines the strength of S/MIME signing and encryption with the flexibility you need to support different email use cases, compliance programs and security requirements.

Secure Email for Business

DigiCert S/MIME Certificates are the ideal solution for individuals and organizations seeking to improve email security and visibility, including:
“I cannot say enough about how helpful this agent was and how he went above and beyond to help me solve a local problem. He is a rockstar and saved me from hours of headache. Thanks so much!”
One of DigiCert’s core values is “customer obsession”—a dedication reflected in the Net Promoter Score (NPS) given to us by verified customers. The scale goes from -100 to 100, with a score of 50 universally regarded as “exceptional.”
“Thank you, Max, for your assistance. Hats of to you for your patience and the way you provide answers. In my whole career, you are the best technical support engineer that I've ever worked with.”
An S/MIME certificate provides you with a public and private key pair. Your secret private key signs your sent messages and decrypts messages sent to you. The public key is shared so people receiving your messages can verify your signature, and it encrypts messages so only you can read them.
As part of phishing schemes, attackers often spoof company emails, sending malicious messages that appear to originate from the company or even from individual employees. Most companies don’t know when attackers are doing this, but when customers get scammed, the organization is left with less business and more support costs and fraud losses.
Several industries require the encryption of sensitive data in email, including healthcare, insurance, retail and the defense industrial base. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), for example, requires cardholder data to be rendered unreadable wherever it’s stored—and encryption is one way to meet this standard.
A Certificate signing Request (CSR) is an encoded file that provides you with a standardized way to send DigiCert your public key as well as some information that identifies your company and domain name.
We highly recommend generating a CSR before you place your order.
DigCert certificate subscriptions allow you the flexibility to easily replace or reconfigure certificates and other licensed products, simplify budgeting by annualizing the fees associated with your certificates, and automate license renewals for streamlined certificate lifecycle management.
