The very essence of DigiCert’s primarily digital products underpins our relatively low environmental impact. But we embrace green initiatives for sustainability, partnering with vendors and datacenters that share that focus. While most of our emissions are through regular office operations and equipment, we're in constant pursuit of methods to decrease our carbon footprint.
To that end, we’ve committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, completing our first carbon measurements in 2024. Energy-saving efforts like lights on timers, LED bulbs, and the hybrid work model implemented in 2023 helped us consume less than the recommended amount of energy per square foot. And as we continue our mission to become carbon neutral, we’ll publish our emissions data annually to promote transparency in what we produce as a company.
At DigiCert, sustainability isn’t just an environmental issue. Our services underpin essential technical and security infrastructure around the globe. To protect that infrastructure, we combine best-in-class security solutions with our own internal high-quality security engineering. We also remain steadfastly committed to compliance, undergoing 30 audits annually and nurturing trust and integrity through our active participation in the industry bodies charged with defining global standards for digital trust.
But one of the parts we’re proudest of is the team that makes it all happen. We hire a diverse, worldwide workforce who enrich our company with an array of talents and strengths. In 2024, our participation in local career and college fairs for underserved communities helped us achieve 28% and 35% minority and female representation, respectively, and we’re honored to be named one of the 100 Companies Championing Women in Utah.
