Meeting the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

DigiCert

At the end of this week, strong new legislation takes effect in the European Union to give greater protection to European consumers and their data. This collection of laws, known as the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, will greatly expand European individuals’ control over data collected by companies.

DigiCert is committed to data security and privacy, and we will be aligned with GDPR when it goes into effect on May 25, 2018. We also will be incorporating GDPR principles into our global standard for data handling, providing stronger data protections wherever we do business.

To uphold this commitment, DigiCert is establishing a Data Protection Governance Committee, made up of stewards from across every department of the company and representative of our global operations, to regularly address and champion data privacy protections.

We want to assure customers that we take their data protection seriously and are continuously evaluating how we can improve our policies and procedures. This includes agreements with vendors and other third-parties on personal data processing that meet our standards and are compliant with the GDPR.

Please see our updated privacy policy. For additional information or questions, please contact gdpr@digicert.com.
